Positive Lincoln Chafee thread

There used to be a tradition on DU where threads were started exclusively to talk positively about our candidates for president. I will start by saying something positive about Lincoln Chafee.

He had enough sense to leave the GOP.

He wrote in George H W Bush. Couldn't bring himself to vote for W.

O"Malley encouraged him to switch parties before it was even a serious thought.

Voted for Obama twice and served as his campaign co-chair in '12.

Voted against the authorization of force with respect to Iraq.

Opposed Alito.

Supports a woman's right to choose.

Supports stem cell research.

is good, considering the several matters you mention. He IS a good guy, and Governor O'Malley is BETTER, considering his extensive executive experience.

I might not be a big Chaffee fan, but I like many of his votes and his words are often in support of people I care about.
