He specifically mentioned police violence and holding officers fully accountable which elicited a large round of applause. He spoke to black male youth unemployment and the damage it does to communities. He spoke about the high costs of education and how minorities are being excluded from higher education, thus his desire to tax the wealthy so that public education is freely given. He spoke to immigration reform and his support for undocumented residents.
