New Poll: Obama CRUSHING Rmoney in New Jersey by 23-points

If the election were held today, 56 percent would support Obama and 33 percent would support Romney. A poll in March showed Obama winning 58 percent to 31 percent.

Women in New Jersey prefer Obama 58 percent to 30 percent; for men, it’s 53 percent to 36 percent.

Eagleton Poll Director David Redlawsk said the state “is simply not competitive.”

“While Obama’s numbers have slipped slightly, mirroring some national trends, Romney is not yet getting enough traction here to catch up,” he said.

The poll of 1,065 registered voters was taken May 31 to June 4, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9 percentage points.

Asked about character traits they want in a candidate, voters clearly preferred Obama in every category except “strong leader,” where 46 percent preferred Romney and 45 percent Obama.

Romney ruthlessly attacked his Rethug competitors to win the Rethug nomination. Some may view that as strong.
Romney also likes firing people. Some people may see that as a strength.

...told me the other day that many of her Fox News watching retiree neighbors are either planning to vote for Obama, or will sit the election out. Some of these people are or were birthers, but they dislike Rmoney SO MUCH, and for the most part have come to realize that Obama "isn't so bad after all," that they are willing to give him a second term.

Encouraging.

(she is my sons grandmother so we have kept in touch) and she asked if I was still gung-ho about Obama. I stated I was and she told me I had a new convert. She cannot stand Rmoney, says he is so fake he makes her ill. She's 93 but very spry and smart. We both laughed about his robotic demeanor.
