(15,558 posts)People want to pretend they'll have yank support for PoC out of him like a tooth on a string. It's easy for him to say because he believes it. He always has.

(62,325 posts)about a candidate with as long a record as Benrie has on Civil Rights, do NOT care about the issue itself, they are desperately trying to stop his momentum, they are trying to HIDE his record, or smear it before people themselves get to know it.
No one who knows Sanders, NO ONE, could tell those lies, and care about the people he has spent his entire life working for.
The lie will die a quick death before long, but they won't stop.
This is what all the corporate money buys, negative campaigns, dirty tricks, lies and deceptions, in an effort to keep the whole rigged system propped up.

(20,805 posts)Sick of the lies, and good to see them getting squashed so quickly...
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)corporate funded smear campaigns that have destroyed the chances of many good candidates. But not this time, I hope they waste all their billions of corporate dollars giving us the opportunity to tear down these rovian tactics and expose them for the public to see. Up to them, they can either focus on their own candidate's positive traits, or continue to attack Bernie. THAT is going to backfire on their own candidate.
We don't start it, Bernie won't do it, but if they do it, then they better not cry when they get it all handed back to them in shreds.

(15,257 posts)It's a sad state of affairs when money buys advertising, buys votes, even buys "robots" to pollute open forums.
I'm not sure how other countries do this but I think that the more advanced ones take personal/corporate money away from influencing elections.
Of course, the USoA is not advanced anymore, in many areas.

It will all just backfire on their own candidate.

(9,497 posts)but I seem to remember when he first came out on stage, the moderator asked him if he knew what was going on and he said no.
I could be making this up....gotta run, though. I did just watch the live stream first without seeing the comments that came after so I trust my memory.

(17,997 posts)#BlackLivesMatter has been very vocal about both President Obama and Eric Holder and their lack of saying or doing anything of consequence. They just didn't have the venue with them as they did with O'Malley and Sanders

(17,997 posts)Weren't invited, knew about it so didn't show up, or what. Frankly, it's a shame because I think it would have been handled very differently by HC, and not as well.
That said, makes no difference to me. They both did okay. O'Malley apologized for a stupid remark and Bernie is doing the right thing. So, I'm good with it
I see Bernie is still pissing off all the right people and is getting good reviews. A positive.
I don't know who started this latest hashtag but I think it's a big mistake

And this person of color who supports BlackLivesMatter fully supports the best candidate for people of color!
Thank you Mr. Sanders, thank you very much!
Damn, this is bringing me to tears.
And I am not a person of color. Hell, I'm so white my brother says I'm translucent
