Great article!

(92,381 posts)anything from less than sensitive to racist, it isn't, but people are free to think what they want.
Tweets from BLM that O'Malley and Sanders are not "humber" enough, to they are racist are not valid either, but they have every right to that view.

(92,381 posts)just as the same accusations leveled at Bernie and O'Malley aren't true, but they do make for good flame-bait

(28,749 posts)If I had to guess...
I see 67 people... take out Hillary and you get 66.
Based on looks alone (I know what a great measurement, but that's all you gave me) I see 24 people who would likely not identify as Caucasian... so yes it's not quite 42.1% but 36.3% isn't bad.
Not sure what you are getting at with this post?
jeff47
(26,549 posts)For example, you are lumping in all minority-appearing people and comparing that to 42.1%. Little Rock is 42.1% black, not 42.1% minority. There is nowhere close to half of the people in that picture that appear to be black.
But the point is this metric is incredibly stupid. But "appearance in photo" was pushed as a valid metric by a legion of Clinton supporters when the "Not Good Enough, Bernie" blog came out. That same legion is thrilled with this picture, and does not notice the contradiction.

(108,991 posts)why did Sanders and O'Malley flub the golden opportunity they had at Netroots?
Why on earth did O'Malley respond to their concerns by saying "white lives matter"?
Why did Sanders get testy and threaten to leave?
They both knew about Hillary's mistake. I'd have thought they'd have been better prepared to take advantage of their opportunity at Netroots. No one can blame Hillary that they didn't.

He absolutely refused and defended her risking the kind of nastiness we're seeing from the talking point crowd, being aimed at him.
But then again, that's Bernie, he's a class act and has never stooped to what we are seeing from Hillary's camp right now.
He doesn't have to.

(62,325 posts)didn't grasp the reason why her use of the phrase would be hurtful to AAs.
Which she would have had she even been aware that there was a movement.
Her comment showed AAs, as many of them said, that she isn't interested in them at all and 'only comes here when she wants our votes'.

Who has been repeatedly bringing this up? It's black people, it's white people and it is people that believe in an equal justice system.
You REALLY need to think hard for a moment.
Who is your enemy?
Many of us have said plainly "This will come home to us" and we all know it has been a fact of life in black communities since the establishment of our country, but maybe I'm naive, but I think it has certainly gotten worse.
It's worse than when I was growing up in New Orleans and of course, there are no black people there and we didn't know black people, work with them or live next door to them.
