RIght-wing National Review smears Bernie Sanders as promoting “national socialism”:

“He is, in fact, leading a national-socialist movement, which is a queasy and uncomfortable thing to write about a man who is the son of Jewish immigrants from Poland and whose family was murdered in the Holocaust. But there is no other way to characterize his views and his politics.”

Seems to me NR, and Repubs, need a lesson in political ideology. There's a difference, a big one, between the socialism to which Sanders has always been partisan and the misnamed 'national socialism' the Nazi fascists practiced. RWNJs have confused the ideologies before, with screeds that call Pres Obama a fascist and socialist in the same sentence. One should expect more from a 'respected' national publication.

RW also refuses to acknowledge their own tendency towards fascist policies -- as Sinclair Lewis is credited with saying: "When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross" -- perfect description of GOP for the past 35 years.
