Insurance Companies should be able to deny coverage to CANCER patients?

Per Richard Mourdock, Republican who beat Dick Lugar in the Primary says so. Perhaps it's time for me to take a break from all of this political drama. Obviously I've lingered too long when they throw cancer patients under the bus. Where do these people come from?

This is a great reason to take the burden of health care off the employer completely.

With single payer it's one less thing for them to worry about.

That can't be done in the private sector because if a household has 2 breadwinners one is likely to not pay for health insurance because the other breadwinner has a better plan. The employer of the breadwinner not accepting health insurance has lower costs vs the employer that has the breadwinner using the health insurance.

That's what they're pushing ... making it legal for insurance companies to break their word of honor (contractual honor, that is)

denied coverage for cancer patients, except for employer based group policies which the employer designs coverage. This is about employers being able to deny coverage to employee cancer patients. Insurance companies will gladly cover cancer patients on employer group plans, the employer's rates are influenced by claims history.

This story really has nothing to do with insurance companies.
