Where is the "news" coverage of Bernie's Organizing Meeting?

I cannot find any mention of yesterday's
(July 29th) HUGH Organizing Meetings,
particularly on Democratic leaning outlets?

Where is the media on this?
Where are the bloggers?

Anyone have links to reports
or articles following-up on
the event would be appreciated?

Coast to Coast meet ups of people interested in campaigns takes real reporting to depict.

Will be interesting to see who finally reports it nationally.

Good to see TIME giving Bernie a mention!
Don't know their demographics, but they
have a fairly large presence.

Bernie Sanders hosted a massive grassroots organizing event on Wednesday evening that featured simultaneous parties in all 50 states, as the upstart Democratic candidate seeks to mobilize the progressive base of the party.

The vast number of parties made for an eclectic mix. One screening party held in Asheville, North Carolina, featured three punk rock bands that helped fundraise for Sanders afterward. Another in Texas was called “Brisket and biscuits for Bernie,” in honor of the food that was served. One event was hosted in a town in the Alaskan wilderness of about 1,000 residents. At another party, a guest brought four live chickens.

The tactical purpose of all parties was to create a larger network of grassroots volunteers, who then can reach a greater network of supporters. The Sanders campaign has relied heavily on volunteers due to its thin staff of approximately 50, a little more than one-tenth the size of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The viewers at the various house parties were asked to volunteer and join a chain of text messages.

“We need you to bring this movement to your community to do unglamorous but essential work,” said Claire Sandberg, a digital organizer for the campaign who addressed the camera after Sanders. “Like knocking on doors, calling voters, voter registration.”

Many of the attendees were Sanders volunteers enthusiastic about the candidate’s message. “You hear the word and you’re like, ‘I’m in,'” said Jon Culver, a 29-year-old who works at a tech startup in Seattle. “The crazy distribution of wealth, income inequality, those are big ones for me. He’s very progressive he’s all for women’s rights and good family values. He’s solid.”

The day of Hillary Clinton’s kickoff rally in early June, the campaign held an online organizing event that included around 650 parties across the country, about one-fifth of the number of events Sanders’ campaign has organized.

Rachel Maddow was pretty giddy about it in last night's show on MSNBC, but I haven't found a permalink for that segment yet.

The Sanders Meetup segment begins @1:45 in to the clip.

Also dozens (probably hundreds) of local papers with the same kind of brief followup articles on all the individual meetups that so many of them printed before hand to announce it.

Associated Press

Sanders' unexpectedly strong showing has not gone unnoticed by Clinton's team. Her aides have signaled that they consider Sanders to be a legitimate challenger who will be running for the long haul, noting the $15.2 million he's raised, largely from small donors, in the first three months of the race. They believe he will find a measure of support in Iowa, where the caucus system typically turns out the most passionate voters, and New Hampshire, given Sanders' many years representing neighboring Vermont in Congress.

The Washington meeting struck a sharp contrast with Clinton's carefully stage-managed events. Host Manisha Sharma said she stayed awake until 2 a.m. cleaning the one-bedroom apartment, carefully storing odds and ends in cardboard organic milk boxes from Costco tucked into a wooden bookshelf. Beers were piled into a kitchen sink and a card table set up next to a small bathroom served as a bar.

After Sanders spoke Sharma presented him with a poster featuring a photo of Mahatma Gandhi's Salt March, the first major act in his campaign against British rule of India.

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win," she told him, quoting Gandhi. "That's what you'll do."

NBC in San Diego CA

The Sanders campaign said more than 105,000 backers attended 3,500 meetings in homes, coffee shops, union halls and town squares, an effort to spread the message of his insurgent bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
In San Diego, more than 700 people were expected to pack into the North Park Observatory Theater to show their support and watch Sanders on the big screen. Organizers say they have had to change venues three times as they gathered more RSVPs.

“I’m thrilled by the enthusiasm I’ve seen from San Diegans," said local organizer Aaron Truax in a news release. "Sanders’ message resonates strongly here and in many communities across the country. He’s the only presidential candidate who’s taking an active stance against the billionaire class, and standing up for wage earners. He wants money out of politics, and he means it."

TulsaWorld - (Oklahoma)
About 150 people turned up at the Transport Workers Union hall in far northeast Tulsa on Wednesday night for what the Sanders’ camp called the largest organizing event of the year, a national video conference involving more than 3,000 sites and 100,000 participants.

NYTimes - First Draft
Indeed, on what the campaign is calling one of the most important days of its upstart movement, Mr. Sanders came to this small apartment in southwest Washington, looked into a camera and spoke live to what his campaign said was more than 100,000 supporters nationwide.
