So, I really think it's time Bernie invests in some security.

The reality is that no BLM protestor is going to get close the Clinton; not with ther secret service detail. And I'm not saying he needs to completely wall himself off, but random people jumping on stage that close to the candidate that is so disruptful toward the status quo, is really freaking scary.

I worry about small planes, roof top assasins, random persons jumping on a stage. I think it's time his campaign insists on a security detail of some kind. Those BLM protestors could have been completely different persons and easily taken him out.

I hope there is security in Portland and LA. There are companies that provide security for rock concerts. I hope they are given consideration.

It reminded me of the way they took over Bernie and O'Malley's rally and this most recent one for Bernie. The Governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon and a police chief were getting ready to have a press conference and some protestors took over and ran them off. It was the New Black Panther Party. Here is a video of it.

Threatening, bullying behavior at a peaceful political rally should earn you an escort to the curb. No sincere person is going to fault him for having decent security in the future.

but your justifiable rage could not be more misplaced than this.

Why aren't they doing this to Hillary??? You know, the one who cheered on
Bill's "welfare reform" & "get tough on crime" bullshit ... Oh, that's right,
because she's got security details, press ropes, and it usually costs $2000-
$3000 to even GET IN.

Give me a fucking break;.

I really think some security would be really good. First security would prevent people from jumping on stage. After that if they did, security would have been rushing him and his wife off the stage because there was a security breach. Another time, it may not be BLM. It could be some crazy right-wing nut job. And as many guns as we have in this country.... It's time to have his campaign get some protection for this man.

7. Obama received secret service protection (while still a senator) due to threats on his life.
Sun Aug 9, 2015, 12:16 AM

Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States, has been the target of several assassination attempts and alleged plots since he first became a presidential candidate in 2007. Secret Service protection for Obama began after the Senator received a death threat in 2007, while serving as the junior Senator of Illinois and running for president. This marked the earliest time a candidate received such protection before being nominated.[1] Security was increased early for Barack Obama due to fears of possible assassination attempts by white supremacist or other racist groups or individuals against the first African American major party presidential nominee.[2][3][4]

Some of the threats have been extended to members of Obama's family, including First Lady Michelle Obama.[5][6][7][8] Obama and his officials have generally declined to discuss death threats against him since entering the presidential race.[5][9] While some commentators have suggested the unusually high amount of death threats surrounding Obama are at least partially tied to the use of racist imagery and words used by some of Obama's critics to describe the president,[2] in 2009 the Secret Service stated that the volume of threats against Obama was "comparable to that under George W. Bush and Bill Clinton."[10]

It's good that Bernie hasn't received that type of attention.

But RFK comes to mind when I see Bernie out there speaking actual truths. Had the women heard Bernies message, they may well have like it. He doesn't lie or hide. He's making enemies of the highest, most powerful, richest, and evil of people in the world. The last thing they would want is to have some Senator from VT take their power away. Take their war machine and oil away. Take their money grubbing, politician buying power away.

Later that day, he had 12,000 show up. He had a meeting group of 120,000 volunteers. And if he wins the election, he doesn't want anyone going home. He wants them involved in pushing policy that helps us and push for politicians who will represent us if those already there fail to produce.

He wants a political revolution. That is scary to a certain people in this country.

12. If you're so sure, how do you KNOW that he Did NOT have 'white supremacist's' after him?

I guess we both don't know for sure. Living in Chicago I only know what I heard the media people here report and they only said that Obama was receiving death threats. And no, they did not say it was coming from 'white supremacist'. So, is white supremacist equal to BLM?

Who's making enemies? Who is he?

OK, I am as confused as hell. What are you talking about?

And, WTF does that mean?

The only thing that I did was to post something about threats made to Sen, Obama.

And BTW: I guess Bernie can request protection. NBC news

16. I think you took everything in that post out of context...

President Obama was getting death threats from the white supremacist groups. I don't think the Bernie is quite on the white supremacists radar to issue death threats. However, there may be a few right-wing nut jobs out there who would be willing to bump him off, especially if he continues doing well in polls and becomes a real contender for the White House. IN NO WAY did I mean to assert that BLM was akin to white Supremacists. I'm sorry if the post wasn't clear on that. Also very sorry that you had to take valuable time making assumptions regarding me because of a poorly worded post.

Quite frankly, this is on Bernie's head. BLM has targeted him once before. He has no security. AND they easily took over. Code Pink did that sort of thing where they could as well. Unless he manages his safety and crowd control, he's going to continue to be overrun by any protest group that decides they want time in the limelight for their issues.

why are you so nice to me, LOL! I was kind of angry when I posted that, but I misunderstood. I'm sorry.

Let me add that what little I know about BLM is that above all else, ABOVE ALL ELSE they want 'Criminal Justice Reform'. They (black folk) have been promised things before, in back rooms off camera to no avail. So I guess Bernie's got a lot of eyes on him and they want their issues on camera where it can be seen, recorded. Of course, they could go to O'Malley and others, but how many people or cameras would see and record it? Half the time I don't know where Hillary, O'Malley and all the others will be speaking and if they could get in to see her. Who knows?
