What have you done for the nominee so far?

I know the formal primary contest is a little bit away, but what have you done for your preferred choice of Presidential nominee so far? We must win in November 2016 and avoid a return to the Bush-Cheney years of anti-choice, anti-equality, tax-cuts for the rich which Jeb W. Bush, Marco Rubio, Donald Trump, and Scott Walker represent. We must also make 1992-2016 worse for the GOP's record than 1968-1988 was for us!

Have you donated to your candidate of choice? Canvassed? Blogged/posted for them? I am proud to have been among the earliest Hillary Clinton donors, been offered limited edition supporter cards, entered into her contests, and and doing my part to see that the Clintons are back in their rightful place, the White House.

What have you done for your candidate of choice?

After the 16th, I will be looking at doing some work in my state for Hillary, and maybe for Tammy Duckworth. I will see what works for me here.

There will be signs in my yard, too. I live on a property that is on a hill. Signs show up well here, so I get the biggest ones possible.

2. if I might ask, are you in an early primary or swing state?

because I'm currently, tho not originally, from a state near Iowa, and I'm thinking of going to an Iowa event just to be part of the crowd. I think Hillary needs to win Iowa and New Hampshire, just to help get it done with earlier than later.

I don't live far from the Quad Cities.

I am in Illinois. We are not an early primary state. There was a training session in Chicago for Hillary volunteers. That is a bit far for me.

I am in a rural area. I am waiting to see what friends in Rockford and nearby counties are doing. I will get together with some of them fairly soon.

It is a bit early for anyone, even activists, to get going for the primaries. But I will be doing something. I always do.

Illinois was a Republican voting state. Bush Sr. the first time, Reagan twice, Jerry Ford, Nixon twice. Same with a lot of states before the Clintons saved our party and made it the dominant one in Presidential elections. Ever since the Clintons came along no Republican has come close in your state. Any self-respecting Democrat must always be thankful!

8. I still regard us as a Democratic state.

You are looking only at the national elections. There have always been strong state and county Democratic elected officials and leaders. A lot of the recent gains have been due to their strong leadership. Rove won't even try his shenanigans here. He used to be able to get away with it, when he was just a beginner. Now he leaves us alone.

We elected a nasty repubbie governor just recently. But he won by a very narrow margin, and is already on the skids. I can't wait until he goes to jail.

9. Illinois IS a Dem state, but nationally, it wasn't until 1992

that's what I'm saying. I think the amount of states that were Republican before 1992 but straight Dem on the presidential level since 1992 is forgotten and overlooked by too many out there.

We won't have a nominee until next July.

6. Donated, and talk about him - received very well indeed - everywhere I go.

Talked to my my grandson (20 YO) about Bernie, turns out he knows about Bernie from Reddit, and he talks to HIS buddies about Bernie, and he has given me some really interesting information about how he feels about Bernie - Bernie is the only one that his buddies feel really cares about them, before and after elections. Other politicians are considered more of the same, and that ain't good.

I believe all the candidates' supporters are actively doing what they can.

11. I politely declined contributing to Emily's List and the DNC this year

(by hanging up instead of telling them what I really thought).

I volunteered to help and donated to my candidate (a rather large amount for me, similar to what I donated to Obama previously) and plan to donate more in the future. I chalked for my candidate to me, bought t-shirts and am making more, am in the process of making buttons and will attend a scheduled campaign event soon.

I have also spoken to many people and advocated that they learn about my candidate because if they actually do they will have to love the candidate. Many have done so and are now leaning toward my candidate.
