Norah O'Donnell asked about the parts that people like, the parts that help people -
Boner -
"No, No, No, No. It must be completely ripped out. We can then work together to replace all the parts with better ones".
As many have said here today - they are utterly insane. Truly batshit crazy - no return, around the bend, consumed with selfishness and greed and hatred. It's got to be that dirty word - "TAX". I guess Norquist is running the right wing in total.

(11,495 posts)That's the question. Republicans have never come up with a "plan" to replace it. They make comments like Boner did, along with all the other right wingers, including Romney, but they have yet to tell us what it is they will replace it with. I mean how long does it take them come up with a plan to replace "Obamacare"?
The problem is they will "NEVER" come up with a plan that does not help the insurance companies, big pharma, and other corporations instead of really helping those who need the help, they just won't do it. They made the "doughnut hole" in the medicare prescription drug plan, and who did that help? It sure wasn't the seniors. Now "Obamacare" is getting rid of that doughnut hole and republicans want to get rid of that idea along with keeping your kids on your insurance till they are 26, stopping insurance companies from denying you coverage because of pre existing conditions, along with your children. Sorry, but only idiots would agree with taking these things away from americans.
Until the right wing idiots can tell the country what they would replace ACA with they need to just keep their damned mouths shut. The idea that people should vote for them so they can make all these changes, but they can't tell you how they will change it, is insane. Romeny has been great at telling people just vote for me and then wait and see what I do, and that's just BS!

(60,021 posts)that's what's so silly about it - if ACA was struck down, there would be no way to replace it with anything in this political climate. Which is exactly what the right wing wants.

(308 posts)As someone once said, Grover Norquist should be charged with treason. Who does he think he is? He's not an elected figure and yet he is allowed to go around Washington and force nearly all the Republicans to sign a no taxes pledge. Under whose authority is he acting? He is not accountable to the American people in any way. Here you have a private individual, representing moneyed interest groups, controlling what the elected Representatives of the people are allowed to do!
Amazing! Only in America would this be tolerated.
