Campaign 2012 Has Begun!

With the SOTU last night, those of us who listened heard the points President Obama will be bringing to the campaign trail. Today, he's heading for Cedar Rapids, IA, and will make another speech there. It is clear and certain that he will be the Democratic candidate for the presidency in 2012. So, with a clear candidate already in place, is it not time to begin working toward his re-election and for the election of Democratic candidates for every state and federal legislative position that is up this year?

Isn't it time to stop the petty complaints about what President Obama has not done and to start working to get him re-elected, along with a Congress that will work with him rather than against him? We don't know who the GOP candidate will be, but that doesn't really matter. What matters is that we begin working to elect Democrats in November.

There's still time to help in primary campaigns and caucuses for legislative seats. We can still work to select the Democratic candidates for those positions. But, President Obama is our candidate for the Presidency. Let's declare the campaign to have begun now. Let's help get our President re-elected!

What do you say?

In Minnesota, the precinct caucuses are on February 7. The ads are already starting here, led by Ron Paul's ads. It's ON!

I really have to agree with the re-election bid of president obama because he needs to finish what he started in 2008 for the rebuilding of this country. He is doing his part by standing up for what is right, he truly wants this country to be great again. Now it is time for everyone else (us) to do our part. We must send a message to ALL politicians wishing to run for office that past actions will not be tolerated. Our tax budget is number 1 priority. What happens to most people who cannot work well with co-workers?? What happens when people leave before the job is done?? What happens when people sacrifice their integrity for bribes or other unethical behavior?? WE ALL GET FIRED!!! We need to change how the politicians campaign to the american public. We need to change our attitude of apathy to being pro-active and voicing opinions on what matters most to us. Our politicians need to be held to the highest accountability as they manage tax budgets - essentially OUR MONEY!! Lobbyists need to be held responsible when they offer bribes in the first place to our elected officials. Tax breaks essentially steal our money!! Our children receive sub standard educations, jobs are outsourced overseas, and the right people do not receive the help they need. So our purpose as american voters this year is simple - VOTE OUT ALL INCUMBENTS. Can't be any worse than our conditions right now.

I would beg to differ on that. EVERYTHING in this world costs money, nothing is free. Entire countries are collapsing because they are going broke. Where is all the money going? It seems hard to believe the governments are literally squandering everything away, unless they just cannot tax revenue like they are supposed to? The biggest demographic line in our society today is the "corporate world" and the "everyday citizen", which also is defined by our incomes. Its a sad truth of our world today, but nothing happens unless someone pays for it.
