The typical sanders supporter is white as of now, just as it was for Obama... That doesn't mean Bernie's message is somehow inferior or that PoC will never vote for him. It simply means they are unfamiliar with him.

He doesn't see how Bernie takes larger numbers of black voters away from Clinton? It's simple, continue spreading his message and fighting for every vote. Right now Clinton has a name ID advantage.

Obama expanded his coalition after his victory in Iowa, virtual tie in NH and then SC victory. Before that black voters were supporting Hillary. Go back and look at the polls, they're similar to what you see now.

Only 1/3 of blacks even know about Bernie, not sure what the numbers are for Hispanics. Also his minority support has been going up, previously his support was only around 3% with blacks, the last poll has him at 15%.

Sanders is at well less than 1 in 20.

5 months out from the first primary. Also, I believe Sanders is doing better with the white Vote than Obama was doing at this time.

Personally, I guess that I am one of the elite. Though I don't drive a Volvo, and probably never will, by choice, I do have a rather secure civil service job, with a stable pension. I don't make a lot of money, but enough to get by and have a little to save.

Funny story; one night we were sitting in the living room and heard a car. Naturally we thought it was my father come home from work. I looked out of the window and saw nothing but still we could hear very distinctly a car running. We lived on a small farm and our nearest neighbor wasnt close enough so that we could hear any of their cars. Curious to discover where the noise was coming from, mom and I ventured outside and walked toward the driveway and the sound grew louder.

It was HER Volvo, which had magically and to this day inexplicably started itself without a key. Several mechanics were left absolutely baffled. She had to get another key cut and had to leave it in the ignition in the off position-if she took the key out it would alsays start again minutes later.

It was 15 years old at the time I worked for her. For the record, she was white, female, liberal, and a lesbian, and one of the best bosses I've ever had.
