(45,319 posts)accurate to describe a candidate tied for first place with a largely unknown challenger, and an argument could be made that if your status goes from front runner to tied for first the collapse is your own but why bother?

(34,661 posts)This is a wonderful campaign shaping up and early on. If one thinks this 2016 Democratic Campaign will be little gotcha's and canned sound bites. Well,it sure as hell is not going to be,hey gang,we are seeing for the first time in many election cycles, issues being discussed. What a novelty. And the Public is starting to wake from their mental slumber. Candidates talking real people issues all because one fellow sees it's importance and it appears he wants to talk issues till he prevails. Hubert Humphrey was the last candidate to run this type of campaign. Yes there might have been others but they soon switched to using their Media Consultants and that proved to be their undoing.

(9,610 posts)He got way ahead over the weekend when he spoke.
My assumption is that the people showing up during the week are ignorant of his message and positions.
It just proves that he does need to get out there and get to talking.
