The hospitals in these states are not in favor of this. Turning down Medicaid dollars does not automatically mean a decrease in health care costs because people without insurance go to the emergency room. The medical communities in these states are not going to let their governments decrease their Medicaid programs.

I see this as an opportunity for closer to universal health care.

The States have the right to reject federal over reaches in authority under the 10th amendment.

The only states that would do this are red.... and if they were to do it, those states would suddenly become blue.
