From the article :

Clinton signaled in July that she was skeptical of the decision, telling a reporter in New Hampshire that she had "doubts about whether we should continue drilling in the Arctic."

"I don't think it is a necessary part of our overall clean energy climate change agenda," Clinton said. "I will be talking about drilling in general but I am skeptical about whether we should give the go ahead to drill in the Arctic."

Tuesday's tweet plants Clinton squarely in the opposed category, and aligns her with environmental activists who want the United States to wean itself off fossil fuels and say drilling in the Arctic will deepen the country's commitment to oil.

However, the time to be against it was before Obama approved it not after the fact.

If she came out loud about it early she may have persuaded the right decision. Monday quarterbacking is easy.

We were told she couldn't because Obama wouldn't campaign for her in the GE if she came out against it.

snip---
The top lobbyist bundling for Clinton was Jackson Dunn, who represents Mastercard, Dow Chemical, Pepsico, and Noble Energy, a Houston-based oil and gas company.Dunn bundled more than $231,000 for the campaign. He wasn't the only lobbyist with ties to the oil and gas sector who went to work fundraising for Clinton. Lobbyist Ankit Desai, who works for natural gas company Cheniere, raised $82,000. Theresa Fariello, of ExxonMobil, raised $21,200 for the campaign.

cough cough. The disdain was universal.
hahahahaha. very funny, what happened when the Dems beat the McCain/Palin ticket on that and other important issues?
We cared. We did, we did!

That was before the wonderful fracking bonanza. The drilling, baby, the drilling.

I won't believe politicians based on just their poll-tested focus group compatible campaign noises, no matter how wonderful their music, their "tweets". I look at *who* they are, what *associations* they have, their *political history*, and everything substantial about them. But history shows that their campaign noises don't signify anything.
