Here's what I think Sanders and/or O'Malley should do, re:Debates

Have one or both of then hire out a hall, call C-Span (and invite the MSM) and say "I'm ready to discuss the issues with my contestants for the nomination. I invite all of the other candidates (except Deeze Nuts) to join me at (place and time). If that is not convenient, I'll reschedule, or set up a Skype projector. I'll be there. Will, the rest of you?"
