(13,190 posts)You must be a troll because ever true progressive knows that Media Matters is the only one who counters the right wing bullshit in the media especially Fox News.

(3,412 posts)but doesn't that also make them right. Your point, which is valid, is that the possible bias of them matters when it comes to evaluating what they wrote. But doesn't that make their point, that Hayden's pedigree, which NPR didn't state, also right?

(11,589 posts)I don't believe that it is part of her campaign although I did read your OP about that and Think Progress I did and saw valid and non valid points, that said,
I would like to know why you might think this reporting is a bad thing? It should be made available.
No? Are we to treat all progressive and left wing media outlets as suspicious if the have any connections to HRC?

(11,589 posts)Angered by O'Malley's strong support for a package of gun safety laws enacted in Maryland in 2013 following the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, the NRA claims O'Malley "imposed the most draconian new gun bans anywhere in the country" before offering attacks from the top two members of NRA leadership.
NRA executive vice president Wayne LaPierre is quoted in the article claiming O'Malley "has presided over some of the most spectacular, bloody and brutal failures of 'gun control' in our nation's history," while NRA top lobbyist Chris Cox suggests O'Malley becoming president could trigger "a fight for the survival of Second Amendment freedom as we know it."
The NRA also objects to O'Malley's response to the massacre of nine parishioners in a historically African-American Charleston, South Carolina, church in June, sneering that the former Maryland governor acted "decidedly un-presidential" when he wrote an email to supporters declaring he was "pissed" about inaction on gun violence while calling for bans on assault weapons and stronger background checks on gun sales.

(146,317 posts)You just have to dig a little to fine him or her. Every scandal affecting a Democrat has a Republican at the bottom of it.

(22,871 posts)"NPR did not mention that Hosko is currently the president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF), a right-wing non-profit that claims to defend police officers fighting criminal charges, but which has come under scrutiny for financial ties to other conservative groups, such as the Federalist Society and the American Spectator. The chairman of LELDF is Alfred Regnery, the former president of conservative publisher Regnery Publishing, whileboard members include Ken Cuccinelli, the former Republican nominee for governor of Virginia; J. Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican politician and senior fellow at the Family Research Council; and Edwin Meese III, a former Reagan administration official who reportedly helped orchestrate the devastating 2013 government shutdown.
In December 2014, Hosko also wrote a column for USA Today arguing that "police weren't the problem in Ferguson." The column blamed the Obama administration and "radical activists" for "exacerbating the problems in Ferguson" and contributing "to an epidemic that will most adversely affect those for whom they claim to advocate."
Too bad so many are willing to share the bed with such strange bedfellows.

Also, no one can fact check the vast right wing conspiracy better than someone who used to be inside that hateful circle.

(8,203 posts)For what is happening at DU is deplorable...why continue to feed at the trough of a con job....Zebras do not change their stripes..republicans are known for this -
What I suggest is to take a look at Jeb Bushs entourage of agents (advisors) - just the foreign affairs alone should make you stop in your tracks and support your party...is this what you want?? Seems to me a lot of selfishness, it's all about me at play here...you all are better than this.....(I am referring to the comments on the Reuters thread...
You want to buy into this freaking hit job..I sure don't...it wasn't classified..oh but then it was classified retroactively?? Give me a break - I expected more than divisive rhetoric from my party members..
I will continue to volunteer during our voter registration drives..betond that - my vote will count Nov 2016...we have a lonnnggg way to go.....be well all....

(7,865 posts)They really go crazy trying to appease right wingers and work overtime to try to appear unbias.
In doing so they fall into the usual media trap of trying to be "unbias" rather than factual.

(10,893 posts)have been accusations/speculation instead of any evidence of wrong-doing. The media and GOP are trying their damndest to make this phony scandal (a "scandal" that is irrelevant to the lives of ordinary people BTW) into something huge and have HC's numbers take a bigger nose-dive. They think everybody is stupid.
