I heard Biden's statement on his process to decide whether to run...

and I don't think he wants to do it. He just sounded like he couldn't put his heart and soul into a campaign right now and maybe never. It broke my heart to hear his words "our family is pretty banged up right now..." Dear god, that poor man and his family.

Thinking about that funeral for Beau just only a few weeks since. I think we'll all have heavy hearts about Beau for a long time...and for the Biden family.

You can't start a presidential campaign questioning whether you have the emotional fuel. You either do or you don't.

is now changed. Beau's kids and other family members are now at the core of his concern and energies. As it should be...

Carter has proven that one can stay in the fray and have a full life of public service after being in the top slot (or in Biden's case the next-to-top spot).

I think if he were to step in at this point, it would just cloud the race. If the estaoushment wants to "head off" Sanders, I'd prefer they turn to someone like O'Malley or someone else who is a established but a fresh face.

He and his family have been through such a heart-breaking time, and they need time (and privacy) to heal. I adore Joe but I would hate to see him take on the rigors of a national campaign this soon after Beau's death.

He, Jill and the entire family have my deepest sympathy.
