"Chickens"

Last edited Thu Aug 27, 2015, 10:32 AM - Edit history (1)

When politicians lie they are given "Pinocchio" labels, up to four at a time, depending of the level of dishonesty. It is time we created a new label: the "chicken". Up to four "chickens" may be given, depending on the level of pandering or cowardice in a politician's inability to stand up for what is obviously right because he or she is intimidated, as, for example, by Trump or by the NRA. In that regard, every GOP presidential candidate today gets four "chickens" for their inability to stand up to Trump and call him our for his offensiveness, his dishonesty, his demagoguery, and his manipulation of people's fears. They are all craven and all deserving of four "chickens".

Trump is more hinest and plain speaking about it, but the rest of them say basically the same things. Some of them are slightly more subtle, using dog whistles.

Many have changed policies suddenly just to be more to the right and pander to the base. Some who favored immigration reform
now want to deport, etc. They are afraid to disagree with him because he will attack. They are afraid to talk about his nastiness, his misogyny, his hyperbole about so many issues.

And GOP politicians are craven. In this case,I think they're responding in their own, er, unique ways.

I think Ted Crazee is trying to ride on The Donald's coattails, hoping that Trump will fall and Crazee can pick up the backdraft.

Randi Paul tried to bite back, but he came across as the little nerdy little smart Alek in the back of the class trying to be popular by making stupid jokes.

Scott Walker is an asshole. Period.

Jeb is trying to both appear to be calling him out, but he's screwing it up because he's also trying to use the same dogg whistles while doing it.

Etc.

I think we both agree that they're all shameless, though.
