... They want this thing to go smoothly. But all conventions are like that. And this is the one thing that annoys me a bit. If they want this thing to go smoothly and be a big media event, and it costs the taxpayers $18 million, and they dont want a discussion, why cant we have a little debate? added the Texas congressman ...
Mr. Pauls supporters are planning a three-day celebration of the Ron Paul campaign leading up to the Ron Paul rally scheduled in Tampa the night before the national convention.
The former Air Force surgeon has refused to endorse Mr. Romney, and throughout 2012 he was rumored to be thinking about pursuing a third-party campaign and seems to be ignored by the Republican establishment. During an interview with CNN in June, Mr. Paul said that he does not believe Mr. Romney has captured the hearts and minds of Republican voters. However his intense focus on balancing the national budget and reducing the U.S. military presence abroad has often made his comments national headlines that Republicans and Democrats are often asked to address.
I expect this to be a very exciting event and people are looking forward to it, a lot of people are paying a lot of attention to it, said Mr. Paul in an interview posted to his campaign event regarding Tampa rally

(17,064 posts)The RNC is going to be awesome! 95 deg temp, 95% humidity, delegates pissed about 1 hour bus rides, threat of hurricanes, Paulbots stirring up trouble, a candidate hated by the base, 2nd amendment solutionists, Palin grifting, etc. This is going to be the mother of all clusterfucks... a real clown circus. Gee.. I wonder why Huntsman and Jeb are avoiding this fiasco...

(550 posts)be locked in a room and wrestle for the right to power. That should keep them busy for the next few years. At which point, Mr Dick will have had 18 heart attacks, Ron will have just keeled over, Rove will have eaten Romney and croaked due to the toxicity, and Rand will have ran himself in circles, chasing his tail, until he just dropped.
