Next year at this time, the conversation will be

very different. The primaries will be over and we'll have a Democratic nominee to elect. I'll be knocking on doors trying to get out the vote, and will be supporting our nominee with all the energy I have. Whoever that nominee is will get my all out support.

I am a Democrat. I work to get Democrats elected, from local board members to Presidents. I started doing that in 1960, six years before I could vote. I'll stop doing that when I'm dead.

I know that I'll be joined by other DUers. Together, we will win.

Candidates are not elected. Allowing the election of Republicans is not working out well.

"Together we will win!"
So all of us need to get out there and do the job. And I think most of us know the election is only the beginning the hard work starts from there.

I know I'll be out knocking on doors, as I always do. I'm sure some of your fellow Democrats in your state will do the same. Some people understand the risks of having a Republican win the presidency. Then, too, there are all of those down-ticket races to win, and excellent Democratic turnout is the key to that, as well.

Thanks for letting us know you won't be helping. We'll keep that in mind.

We Democrats will do what we always do, work to elect Democratic candidates to every possible office. There's nothing "royal" about that.

It's something Democrats do when election time comes around. We think it's important.

Really, you think democrats won't forget that some anonymous poster on DU isn't going to phone bank for Hillary? It's arrogant to speak for others.

Speaking only for myself, I'm glad you are no longer "supporting" Bernie.

I'll hold my nose and vote for her, and yes I do remember the loud, vile PUMA critters. I don't know how many of them didn't vote for Obama- and neither do you.

Once the primaries are over, though, we all get together and try to get Democrats elected to every possible office. It's a tried and true way to make progress. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail, but we never fail to try.

Whichever candidates win the primaries and are on the GE ballot, we'll support them. In my opinion, and in my opinion only, people who don't support Democratic candidates in general elections aren't really Democrats. They're voters, of course, and Americans, but Democrats help Democrats win elections. Again, just my opinion, but I know it's shared by others, too.

Or election rigging, either by the candidate directly or through surrogates, I'm on board. Otherwise, not.
