The Hill: Morning Joe Raves Over Obama's New TV Ad

TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2012

Morning Joe raves over Obama's new TV ad

Joe Scarborough, this morning, on Barack Obama's newest TV offering.

"We've been saying that these Bain attacks just weren't going to work for a month or two. They're not working. The class warfare stuff doesn't work.

But you know what does work? Barack Obama being Barack Obama."

Meanwhile, John Heilemann called it a "seminal ad."

"I think it's going to be an ad that you're going to look back on as having been an important ad in the course of the whole election."

So with that, here's the spot itself, which I think is, by far, Obama's most effective ad of the cycle. It's sort of like a Fireside Chat but with no FDR or looming world war.

that it isn't

Even the poll by reuters today which indicates independents are being influenced by it, the media is trying so hard to down play it by saying another poll indicates it isn't having any influence

affect... WHEN IT IS. ESPECIALLY IN BATTLEGROUND STATES (corporate whores only quote national numbers)

at TPM, in the swing states (editted to correct_Bill USA),Obama is up by 2.7% at 47.3% vs Rmoney at 44.6% that is a change from just a few weeks ago.

There ARE people out there (forgetting the TeaBaggers) who are capable of thinking for themselves and using facts when they are available. Rmoney's personal dealing with his obligations to his nation (i.e. whether he pays his fair share in taxes or not) is a good indicator of where he will be with regard to tax policy in general -- i.e. toleratant of tax dodging and inequitable tax code.

5. Precisely--and the more the media tries to decry the thing, the better it works.

It's funny as hell--they have to play it before they try and fail to dis it!

I never thought I'd have a reason to laugh every time I heard an asshole sing Ahhhhhmerrrrrrick-ah, Ahhhhhhmerrrrrrrrrr-ick-ah.... off key!

Translation: A Black president's ad must be seen to be nice.

But Reeps and Romney can attack, use racist tactics, and
say whatever they want.
