Just when you thought the e-mail story couldn’t get worse for Hillary Clinton …

After several weeks of relative dormancy, the story of Hillary Clinton's private e-mail server surged back into the news Tuesday night, with a trio of stories that suggest things are going to get worse before (or perhaps if) they get better for the former secretary of state's 2016 campaign.

Here's what we learned:

1. The State Department has, on the record, disputed Clinton's claim that her handing over of her e-mails was standard operating procedure, according to reporting from The Washington Post. In fact, State contacted Clinton in the summer of 2014 upon learning that she had exclusively used a private server to conduct business during her time as the nation's top diplomat. Asked about the discrepancy in Iowa on Tuesday night, Clinton told the Des Moines Register: "I don't know that. I can't answer that."

The new polling data reported in this article is interesting.

Yet after months and months, retraction after retraction, the right wing smear machine has nothing that has stuck. Because there isn't anything. Gowdy is a fucking piece of shit who thought he was going to come through for the republicans. He is a complete failure as a person and politician. This is all he has. Trying to remove that which they fear most. Going up against a Clinton. Obama followed by Clinton would absolutely destroy their brand and they know it. Obama has already done a huge amount of the lifting. They know Clinton will be the knock out punch.

Did I say fuck Gowdy and his fabricated email scandal. Anyone promoting this is carrying that little assholes water. Then again, I have seen opposition research done on Gutierrez here, so nothing would surprise me anymore.

Clinton is breaking the first rule of crisis communications: Get EVERYTHING out all at once, take the hit and move on. Her approach, which is to give ground on the story only when her position becomes untenable, has already turned what looked like a coronation for the Democratic nomination into a potentially competitive race. It now threatens to do even more damage.

She really hasn't handled this well.

Inspector Generals, federal judges, or the FBI? The Benghazi hearings were merely the vehicle by which anyone even discovered her email server set-up. Had she done everything above-board with her communications, those hearings would be a minor issue.

This is almost entirely Hillary's fault. She has handled this so poorly.

FBI reportedly recovers emails from Clinton server
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/254611-fbi-reportedly-recovers-emails-from-clinton-server

I don't know if this is a big deal or not. I've never given much
credence to the emaily thing as an "issue" in the campaign, but
this could conceivably open up a new chapter, depending on what's
in these 'recovered' emails.

I really wish we could just stick to the isses:
Minimum wage
Education for all
Single Payer healthcare
The environment.
regulating wallstreet and the banks.

I honestly don't care about these emails that much unless there was some actual criminality, which there doesn't seem to be.

There is no there, there but the innuendo will not stop since it is just what anti Hillary people do, make up shit!

Leaving aside the bad decision-making in the past that she has (now) copped to, she didn't do her campaign any favors when she got all flustered and po'd with the whole "what, with a cloth" thing.

You can trace a whole host of her campaign's problems back to that press conference. And whether or not there is any "there there", she did not demonstrate the seasoned ability to withstand attacks and razor-sharp political instincts her supporters have been touting since forever.
