2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumGreat interview with Pastor Frantz Whitfield, former HRC supporter
who's feeling the Bern
Starts at minute 7. He's doing a lot of work with Bernie and Bernie will be going to his church to talk to his congregation soon.
Past Whitfield is working on other venues for Bernie and serves as an informal advisor.
"It's ridiculous how excited people are about Bernie". "You're not hearing anything about Hillary Clinton right now, there's no excitement.... People are so pumped up about Bernie."

(62,325 posts)him they are working so hard. I like and agree with Pastor Whitfield on this: 'No one can beat Bernie on the issues, there is no one who can beat him on issues'. And goes on to say that Bernie's ONLY PROBLEM is that 'people don't know who he is'. And he and his friends are making sure to change that. We are 'knocking on doors' to 'get the word out about Bernie'. And as he says, 'After that we have nothing to worry about'.
Excellent interview, thanks for posting Catherina.
'Mainstream Media is way behind'. Sure is.

(62,325 posts)I hope we get to see Bernie when he comes to his Church, which I believe he said would be happening soon. That's all that is needed as he said, for the people to get to know him.
Great guy, great for Bernie to have him on board with his campaign.

(9,865 posts)It was before Bernie had declared and Warren had bowed out and it seemed HRC would be the only Democratic candidate. I felt so dispirited. Deflated. Depressed about the party.
I think huge numbers of Democrats felt that way in April, the day she announced.
Then by late April, Bernie announced. What a difference!

(35,568 posts)I wasn't going to vote in this election and just concentrate on causes. Then Bernie announced and everything changed. It took me a while to get on board because I don't agree with some of his Foreign Policy but it's still miles better than anything we're being offered.
I know exactly what you mean. What a difference! Now I want to do anything and everything I can to get him elected. And the great thing is there are so many people who feel the same way, so many people who were disillusioned, disgusted, disenfranchised, taken for granted, ignored are totally energized now and ready to fight for this.
Nice to meet you Zentrum
