Why is Maddow so FASCINATED with the Republican primary debate rules?

She has droned on about the GOP debate rules of eligibility for months. I don't seem to see her point.

Why is this such a big deal for her?

Is really not that complicated: a debate is of limited value if you have 10, 12 or 14 candidates squished up on a state for 2 hours.

If there are 100 congressman candidates, do you have all 100 in the debates? There has to be cut off and IMO Fox and other debate organizers have not being unreasonable.

MSNBC as whole has become unwatchable. I like Hayes as he is more nuanced and covers more subjects. Rachel problem is she presents her topics like as if it's the most pressing or important issue of the day but often its useless stuff such as debate rules she spends 10min just getting to her point

Republicans are allowing corporate media - rather than state primaries - determine who are the viable candidates for their party. This really is a big deal, a deep sea change in our nomination process. Not in a good way.

fox news and friends has decided who gets the big table and who gets the kid table. those decisions can ultimately affect a candidacy.

Imagine having the responsibility of a solid hour each evening to inform millions of people about things that matter.

She can't, obviously.

I really used to enjoy her program. Now she talks to her audience as if they were hearing impaired children with memory disorders.

I'm also pretty sure Phils got a gun at her back, so be enthused about what you can report, instead of what's forbidden (outside of references in comparison to the network favorite or low prole stories.)

Put their poll numbers on blast. She has a chart w/all GOP candidates faces lined up. Rachel delights in zapping them off of her board, Walker, Perry etc. Who will be the next to go?
