Related: About this forumDid the RJC Use a Fake Democrat in Its “Buyer’s Remorse” Ad?
As we reported last week the Republican Jewish Coalition has launched a new initiative to bring Jewish voters into the conservative fold. The campaign is called Buyers Remorse, and its first ad features a video of a New Jersey man named Michael Goldstein who claims to be a lifelong Democrat who held fundraisers and voted for Obama in 2008 but is now supporting Romney.
In the video, Goldstein thinks aloud about the economy and then about President Obamas mention of 1967 borders as a basis for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict (heres a clip of George W. Bush also calling for the 1967 borders), and decides that its time for a new direction. The RJC is obviously hoping that other Jewish Democrats will feel the same way.
The problem is that Goldsteinwhile Jewishdoesnt actually appear to be a Democrat. His New Jersey Voter Registration has him listed as undeclared. And also, Goldstein contributed $250 to Rudy Giulianis presidential campaign in 2007, hardly the work of any lifelong Democrat.

(13,620 posts)Actually he's the owners son, but close enough to a boss. He was backing a Republican for our state house in Idaho and hoped I'd be "Joe on the forklift" for them. Nope! Not a chance. I knew I was okay turning him down but I'd bet a couple co-workers would have been afraid to.
So who did they get? A guy that was actually Congressthing Helen Chenoweth R-Idaho's local aide. He's an okay guy really and ran his landscaping business out of the adjacent building. So there he was on my forklift making the add, they even found a hardhat for him!
Never believe those campaign adds. If our side uses a businessman for Obama, he'd better damn well be legit.
