Want evidence of how far right the party has drifted under establishment democrats?

Look no further than the gleeful red baiting on this board. OP after OP about scary commie *ahem* socialist Bernie Sanders... If he could see it, Tail Gunner Joe would be firing off rounds in his pants.

establishment candidates John Kerry, Al Gore, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale, Jimmy Carter, George McGovern, Hubert Humphrey...

See, we've seen this rodeo before. You are right, after we get our Democratic asses kicked 8-12 years in a row, the Party does tend to drift back to electability.

it's acknowledging that the average voter won't vote for a self identified socialist.There's a real world the exists outside of DU.
