Oh, this is rich

Along with the gift of Paul Ryan, there's this...

LACDP Welcomes CA GOP to their Convention in Burbank
August 10, 2012
By Nik Swiatek

On Friday, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party (LACDP) welcomed the California Republican Party Convention to LA amidst major financial woes for the CA GOP. Just days after acknowledging the near financial collapse of their organization, the alleged “Party of Fiscal Responsibility” is spending thousands of dollars gathering for a weekend schmooze-fest.

LACDP Chair and CDP Vice-Chair Eric C. Bauman along with a team of Democratic activists distributed a flyer titled “The Party of Fiscal Responsibility?” calling out the CA GOP for falling deeply into debt under the leadership of Chair Tom Del Beccaro.

In front of the Marriott Convention Center where the convention is being held, Bauman said:

“As California Republicans gather in LA, they have little to celebrate considering the state of their Party. They are $450,000 in debt, were kicked out of their headquarters for non-payment of rent and have instituted massive staff layoffs heading into November. The California GOP doesn’t have a clue how to manage their own finances, so it’s no coincidence that voters don’t trust them to navigate our economy.”

Stuck in a deep rut, with a seriously declining share of the state’s voters registering as Republicans and losing virtually every state-wide election since 2006, California Republicans are now under fire from within their own ranks. From the leaders of former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s team to long-time political operatives like Alan Hoffenblum, the attacks have been harsh and blunt.

Recently departed CA GOP Communications Director Jennifer Kerns slammed the CRP and Del Beccaro’s leadership, saying “It’s a woefully hypocritical place to be if you’re the party leaders that can’t pay the bill to keep the lights on at the office.”

One person you won’t see at the GOP Convention this weekend is putative Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney. When asked why not, Bauman remarked “It’s not surprising Romney won’t be here this weekend considering the embarrassing financial shape California Republicans are in. Although, if there was one place in America that needs his extensive experience at firing people, the California Republican Party is it.”

“Maybe that can be a top priority for Mitt when he’s looking for work again on November 7th,” concluded Bauman.

He can't manage his own tasks, so I find it hard to believe he really thinks he can handle a country's finances.

California always sets the trends.

Stuck in a deep rut, with a seriously declining share of the state’s voters registering as Republicans and losing virtually every state-wide election since 2006

To the Citizens of California, I

Good Job!

CA may have gone beyond style and music trends...deep into right wing territory. But we still have a few Congressional critters to axe come November.
