Hellooo Florida!

When you look at the electoral college and start adding up the votes to make it to 270, Florida is pretty much a must win for Rmoney at this point. Did he think that picking Ryan, whose budget plan involves trashing Medicare in favor of private vouchers for insurance, would help him win that state?

Florida has one of the highest concentrations of elderly voters in the country. The polls I have seen show Florida as a dead heat, or leaning toward President Obama. Once they start to learn more about this Ryan budget plan, and they consider its implications, they are never going to vote for MR & PR.

I think this ticket is doomed.

"Can you say landslide boys and girls? I knew you could."

I don't know how they'll sell this to seniors but in the end they won't be hurt -- we have to count on their empathy here

I'm nowhere near that age and I'm already balls deep in planning for it along with cringing at what my healthcare costs will be by then, which would be a helluva lot higher if Paul Ryan gets what he wants.

bottom line is Paul Ryan is going to scare more than just seniors.

Theres PLENTY to worry about if these people have a chance to get what they want. I'm not exactly feeling real confident with their 1955 "guarantee" either. These are Republicans we are talking about here.

Who knows just how bad their budget would actually look once they had power?

We will have to work our asses off to get Florida. With all the conjobs that run the state there is no telling what they are capable of.

it'll all be back to Romney again, and he's been doing a helluva job on his own image as it is. He's going to get a little too comfortable and start slipping and sliding all over the place like he was doing before he was so rudely interrupted by this new kid with the hair that makes Romney look downright Papa Munster to his Eddie doo

The Ryan plan is nothing more than a strategy for winnowing the baby boomer generation by cutting off health care for aging boomers. It's soft genocide directed at the most vulnerable. What do you expect from predatory capitalists born with silver spoons? America needs a serious realignment and radical redistribution of wealth. Reagan's legacy is the bane of civil society.

You state the problem very succinctly.

Even the majority of the 1% feel this way, from what I have heard. They recognize that such a drastic imbalance in the strata of society is totally unsustainable. We the people know that we deserve better.

Now, how is this going to happen? The easy way or the hard way?
