Mark Halperin: Sanders staff tried to get him to prep more...

Staff admit he meant to use the email line as a criticism of Clinton (e.g. "because YOU messed up the email issue, you're distracting us from talking about real issues&quot but mishandled it.

know that if people can't vote for him because he's a decent guy who's walked the walk his whole life, then this whole human project is down the tubes. And maybe that's good, at least for the other life forms on the planet.

when you know your facts, know what you believe, and are an authentic person, there is nothing to rehearse for. That's the difference here that people can see that are voting for Bernie and why his support is exploding. It's not a performance, it's about stuff that really matters to people. And it's why Bernie's going to win.

Not on guns, not on capitalism, not even explaining his brand of socialism. He didn't prepare and it was obvious. He got snowballed by Anderson. I bet he prepares for the 2nd one though.

Halperin is a crusty nothing burger, an establishment wiper and dangler, and a wannabe circus barker.

The only problem I have is that the clips of it I've seen on corporate media are heavily edited to remove the moment's most important point:

"We have massive wealth and income inequality," Sanders continued at the Las Vegas, Nevada debate. "The American people want to know whether we're going to have a democracy or an oligarchy as a result of (the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision). Enough of the emails -- let's talk about the real issues."

His staff members are pretty stupid if they were trying to get him to go after Hillary. He took it to a much more relevant and urgent level.

Still not on board the Bernie train, but by all accounts his classy addressing of that issue showed real integrity of character.

I never thought higher of Bernie (and I do like him a lot) than I did after that statement he made. I thought it made him look great. I wouldn't believe Halperin if he told me it was daytime.
