They justify their complete apathy and unwillingness to know what the fuck is going on, by repeating "there's no difference between the parties!" as if it were sage knowledge, a deep revelation to the listener.

"But but but THE WARS!" Okay, let's compare.

Republicans: Started our wars by attacking the wrong people... twice. Treated the wars as stage dressing made to make them look "tough." had absolutely no plan for how to get out of those wars. Did not properly equip the servicemen they sent, sent them for 6+ tours, and expanded our use of mercenaries to laughable levels. Used the wars as a bludgeon at home to ram through deeply unamerican legislation and stifle dissent. Literally committed war crimes, but proactively pardoned themselves.

Democrats: Did get pulled along with opening those wars, but have realized the mistake and been trying to halt htem. President Obama has drawn down US forces in Iraq, but has increased resources sent to Afghanistan. Mind that Afghanistan was a deathtrap for both US and Afghan forces because the Republicans refused to support it after starting it. The goal is to secure Afghanistan to a level the Afghan government can take it and we can come home - that's called exit strategy. Democrats and obama have used unmanned drones to make precision attacks on suspected terrorists, with sometimes tragic mistakes.

Verdict; democrats aren't saintly or perfect, but there is a vast gulf between them and Republicans on this issue.

"But but but THE ECONOMY!"

...Yeah, I'm not even going to compare, if you think the parties are the same on the economy, you're an idiot and there's no help for you.

"But but but SOCIAL ISSUES!"

Republicans: 82% chance that whoever you are, the Republican party either wants you dead or in chains. Conservative white christian heterosexual males are the only "worthies" to the republicna party, everyone else is either literal vermin, or chattel.

Democrats: Aren't Republicans.

Clear enough?
