2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'm as sick & tired of hearing about NON-candidate Biden, as I am Hillary's damn emails
Joe Biden is NOT a candidate, by his own choice. It's both unseemly and absurd
to hear every fucking day "BREAKING! Non-candidate Biden is still a NON-candidate".
If we were really respecting Joe's space, to make his "difficult decision", then we would
shut the fuck up about it; rather than pretending like it's 'news' that he still has not
made a decision to run. I mean duh, if/when Biden makes an announcement to run, we will
hear about it, and THAT WILL be real news, but this daily yammering on and on, about how
non-candidate Biden is still a non-candidate is just fake news, faux "coverage" of Democratic
Primary, instead of talking about the real issues voters care about, issues that effect
their lives, issues that Bernie keeps talking about, but which the M$M does not want to touch
with a 15-foot pole.

(3,795 posts)You're exactly right to be miffed.
For all of the Biden "will he/won't he" stories that get run (that are non-stories since he hasn't declared) the corporate Media gets to spend much less time covering Hillary's main competitor and spend much less time on issues and substance.
Biden just might actually help the Establishment more by debating whether or not he's going to run for a very long time. It stifles Bernie's message in a big, big way which certainly makes harder his attempts to get better known on the issues/his platform. If he debates getting in for a few more months, corporate Media will dutifully continue to report the "will he/won't he" nonsense, Biden will continue to be included in the polling (which is a MASSIVE disruptor to Bernie's campaign and will allow for computer election fraud, if needed, to be more comfortably hidden).
Then, Biden can announce at the last minute that he's not running. The outcome of the above series of events would definitely help the Establishment candidate.
