Can Bernie win working class white ethnic voters in Staten Island, Bayside, Queens, Bensonhurst?

Can Bernie Sanders, if he wins the nomination, win working class, white enclaves that tend to go conservative in some areas such as Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, the borough of Staten Island, Bayside, Queens, etc.? Some of those areas Mayor Bill de Blasio of New York City lost to GOP Joe Lhota in 2013, and it was a Giuliani stronghold in 1989, 1993, and 1997. Can Bernie win those voters? Who are those voters?

There is nothing those NY enclaves hate more than welfare and safety nets. They will vote against it every time.
