Instead of a useless trinket how about an app that puts you in touch with like minded people in your neighborhood. Remember the 50 state strategy? How about OFA? Do something that strengthens and grows the party rather than some useless POS.
I grew up in an area that was strongly Democratic and it rips my heart out that there is virtually NO Democratic party presence here now. The only thing the "party" does is fund raise. No organizational planning, no educational outreach, nothing!
When I moved back home I searched out any Democratic organization or event to try and get involved. All I got was coffee clatches and politics over policy nerds.
In case the political elite actually read this, I suggest you buy a clue. We are at a breaking point. Don't show me some shiny trinket give me a tool or lend a hand to actually fix things.

Also, tell me what area you are in and I will get you a list of some groups. But locally you are mainly looking at individual candidates at this point in time. It's the way it works and makes good sense. There will be much much more after the primary. Though they have been working 24/7/365 to get decent democrats in all over the country.

Additionally, the DNC is mainly going to give you party info at this point. You might want to check out the app from the candidate you are supporting to see what is happening in your area. The Hillary app gets you in contact with local dems. Just what you are asking for. If you support another candidate please look up their app to see how you can help in your area.

While they could take some additional steps and are, they have made it extremely easy to find out how you can help. Either the DNC or Hillary. I'm sure Sanders as well I just don't have his app and don't want to speak to what I am unfamiliar with.
