2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHappy Birthday, Hillary Clinton
What a time shes been having the debate, Joe Bidens non-candidacy announcement and then the total meltdown of the Benghazi Committee. Its not often these days that a special House investigatory committee makes Democrats sing, but there you are. In a speech on the House floor, Representative Steve Israel claimed Thursdays marathon inquisition had been like an I Love Lucy episode same plot, same characters, same script and nothing new. This seems totally unfair to Lucy. Remember the one with the candy conveyor belt? Vitameatavegamin? How many of you think that 63 years from now, anyone will be saying: Remember the question about Sidney Blumenthals email?
Heck of a run for Clinton. And to top everything else off, Lincoln Chafee withdrew from the presidents race, leaving the field wide open for her to grab that metrics issue and run with it.

(34,195 posts)I watched most of the hearing and high fives to Hillary for an excellent job keeping her cool in front of those GOP idiots.
She'd make an excellent President.

(99,711 posts)After much sober and dispassionate deliberation I have come to the conclusion that Hillary Clinton is the best choice for president. This isn't a negative reflection on Senator Sanders and Martin O'Malley but an affirmation of my belief that Hillary Clinton in uniquely qualified to be president of the United States by dint of experience, strength of character, and temperament.

(23,155 posts)My daughter missed being born on HRC's birthday by 2 hours. LOL. It's a good time of the year to be born, the weather is finally starting to cool down here in No. FL. and it's beautiful.
Hope Clinton got to spend her birthday having quality time with her family. We are having my daughter's birthday party today and I will have a drink in both of their honor.
