Bill Clinton said this about Hillary just now

Just saw Bill Clinton live on CNN speaking before a Jefferson-Jackson crowd in Iowa.
One thing stood out to me.
"Hillary is still friends with a lot of the kids she went to grade school with."

I think that says a lot about anyone ~ especially a politician of Hillary's stature and past.
And, yes, I am a Sanders guy.
But an open minded Sanders guy.

Thanks for the nice post.

And yes, it does say a lot about a person who has been able to retain friendships with so many for so long.

On Sat Oct 24, 2015, 03:16 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

She's friends with Wall Street too.

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Quit raining on our damn parade.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Oct 24, 2015, 03:21 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I see no violation in this observation. LEAVE IT
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Alerter, DU is Skinner's parade, not yours. Also, you have a lot of nerve expecting 7 DUers to spend time on an alert this frivolous. Cut it out.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I have no idea what the alerter is complaining about. Let this completely unobjectionable statement of FACT remain in the discussion.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

I have a 100% chance of serving on a jury and I get too many alerts like this, but this was the worst so far--and not because I support Bernie. I want people to know that I alerted the admins because, IMO, this is an abuse of the jury system and of the time and effort of jurors. If I get another call to serve this silly, I will alert the admins again, so please stop the alert stalking of people who disagree with you.

The husband-and-wife team of Calvin and Janet Hill has become a respected resource on “how to”—how to raise a family, how to create diversity in the workplace, and how to survive the pressures of being a professional athlete. Perhaps best known as the parents of NBA All-Star Grant Hill, the Hills are prominent corporate consultants whose overlapping interests and skills have sometimes led to their working together. In April of 1997, the Hills were both hired by the Dallas Cowboys to help rescue a football team embarrassed by criminal charges and drug suspensions. Independently, they serve as consultants to other leading corporations; Janet acts as vice president of a Washington D.C. consulting firm, while Calvin has become an independent consultant after working for many years as a vice president for the Baltimore Orioles.

Corporate consulting is also a career change for Janet, who first worked as a teacher after college. A graduate of Wellesley College, where she was a suite-mate of first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, she earned a B.A. in mathematics in 1969. She also received a masters degree in math education from the University of Chicago. She has worked as a teacher at the high school, junior college, and college levels, and was a scientist at a private consulting firm.

don't? I'm sure they both do. They aren't talking about it though because it's not relevant to their campaigns. I don't think that makes Hillary unique. Talking about her mother is also a distraction from the real campaign issues as well. We all started off with mothers as well.

I will say this. I'm glad she finally buried the Benghazi thing because Benghazi is not the issue many of us have problems about Hillary with. Now that it is hopefully dead, maybe we can talk about the things we should be discussing about her ties to Wall Street, Henry Kissinger while she was SOS and her votes for the invasion of Iraq and the Patriot Act.

Her friendships with Kissinger and Wall Street characters are friendships, too, and just as relevant on a political board as her grade school friends. If this thread were really just about her grade school friendships, it would be in the lounge.

I guess it's ok to go entirely off the subject when something positive gets posted about Sanders, but, on a Hillary thread, we have to stick strictly to her grade school friends. As always, DU's double standards crack me up. They are hillarious.
