Tired of the infighting??... Governor Martin O'Malley makes more sense every day

Dear DU members who are not passionately affiliated with either Sanders or Clinton.. you might want to give Gov. O'Malley a closer look.. If the infighting has turned you off completely.. again.. give Gov. O'Malley a look.

He has walked the walk not just talked the talk..

"But O’Malley’s time in Annapolis is also the story of an unbowed liberal champion, who muscled through a string of policy changes that will endure long after he departs Wednesday. Gay couples in Maryland can now marry; the state no longer executes prisoners; minimum-wage workers are getting pay increases; and undocumented immigrants can qualify for in-state college tuition rates. It is harder to buy a gun.

This year is probably not his year.

He'll be the nominee in 2024.

If he's Hillary's VP pick, then his destiny is sealed, and he will be the nominee and presidential winner in 2024.

technie sons is firmly behind him for the primaries, especially because of his positions on alternative energy sources. My son had the privilege of attending meetings (before O'M declared his candidacy for President) that showed how much he has thought these very important issues through.

If Hillary's campaign somehow implodes (which is always possible, even if unlikely), I am more likely to switch to full support of O'M than to Bernie. Martin is younger than either Hillary or Bernie and a forward thinking leader for the future whose stands are every bit as "progressive" as Bernie's are.

Of course, whatever happens, I will vote for the Dem nominee in the GE.

It was 2014 when I first met Gov O'Malley here in Iowa.. and I have gotten to go to a few of his meetings.. and his knowledge on environmental issues is astounding.. I live in a state that produces so much wind energy..makes up 25% of our energy usage..we are number three in the nation in turbines.. so I thought I was fairly knowledgeable about the subject.. he just blew me away.. (in a literal sense

edit for spelling .. good grief.. I need another cup of coffee

Democratic Governors' Association, where he made many Dem allies.

Right now many of these are likely behind Hillary's candidacy. But O'M's long history as a Democrat makes me believe that most Dem super-delegates would feel very comfortable backing him, if his campaign gains more traction and Hillary's somehow stalls.

While many, including me, love Bernie - and many of his stands - Martin's stands are every bit as good, IMO.

that is how you get the best person for the job.. supporters on all sides need to stop being so ugly to each other.. because in the end we have to bring that other side into our fold if my candidate wins or yours wins or someone else.. and I happen to think Gov. O'Malley is the best fit to be President.. by a long shot, ..

and the President got hamstrung by supporters of Sec Clinton who felt they were dismissed.. That type of ugliness in attacking one another is not good for the eventual winner..they are going to be trying to get our platform through..
