Virtually everything almost everything I tell you that I support today, is supported by the vast majority of the American people, he said. So the question is why is it that Congress is not passing legislation that the American people want?
Sanders said those issues include raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, pay equity for women, dismantling the largest financial institutions on Wall Street, expanding Social Security benefits, and providing health care as a right, not a privilege.
Sanders was asked about Clinton's old ties in the state, and whether it was truly a level playing field. Clinton's recent endorsements include Gov. Maggie Hassan and U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H.
So I'm running against an establishment candidate, and you know what, the establishment is sympathetic to an establishment candidate, Sanders said. But I think, everything being equal, we are doing fine. What we are doing, I think, we stand a good chance to win here in New Hampshire.
