2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumObama Co-chair :Hillary Clinton is best choice for Democrats
After long and careful deliberation and watching the most recent presidential debates, I have decided to endorse Hillary R. Clinton in the Iowa caucuses for our candidate as president of the United States.
In 2008, I was one of the co-chairs of the Obama presidential campaign and felt he was the right person at the time to be president. Today, I have reached the same determination regarding Hillary Clinton. Looking to both parties' nominees for the presidency, clearly there is no one with more experience and qualification than Hillary Clinton and no one who is ready to step into the Oval Office to serve our country more than Hillary Clinton.
Hillary has the longest tenure of public service. She has received more unwarranted attacks than the rest of the field combined and continues on with steely reserve. She was an effective and well-respected secretary of state. The reports at the time were she was well-respected by her colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the United States Senate. She was an active first lady, leading the charge for health care reform.
