Sanders 'not sorry' for letting Clinton off on 'damn emails'

Bernie Sanders says that he is "not sorry at all" he let Hillary Clinton off the hook about her private email server during the first Democratic debate and that he will overcome her strong poll numbers to eventually win the nomination.

"No I am not sorry at all," Sanders told Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC on Tuesday. "What campaigns are about is to discuss the major issues facing out country. The email investigation is a process going on, let it go on … I want to focus on the real issues."

Sanders said during the Democratic debate that the public "is sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails. Since the debate, Clinton has received a clear bump in the polls and Sanders has suffered

"[Clinton] is ahead in the polls because she is much better known than I am. But I think if you also ask the people in this country if they think we need fundamental changes in our campaign finance system, how do they feel about the campaign finance system, the fact that Hillary has as super PAC," Sanders said. "My point is, Andrea, on issue after issues I am the candidate that is representing most effectively the families in this country."

Asked about Marco Rubio being absent from Senate votes, Sanders acknoweldged it "is difficult and very time consuming" to serve and run for office simultaneously, but "it's what I'm paid to do." Sanders said he is certain he will miss votes "but I'm trying to miss as few as I can."

Exactly right. The FBI's got this. Bernie has nothing to do with it, he has no need to make an issue of it.

Was a perfect example to show the world what a boss Bernie really is.

(Oh wait, we're still in intellectual kindergarten, where "looking presidential" is what counts. Never mind.)

finance reform that is rotting elections and gnawing relentlessly at the roots of democracy.....only to be met by a media change the subject quick question about fucking meaningless votes missed in the Senate, apparently because the Children of the Media can indeed do grade school math very easily, but prefer to be dumb to anything more complicated...what, you calling US in the media stupid?

Donald Trump thought Bernie made a political mistake.

Of course Trump wouldn't know the high road if he was standing on it.

So they have a financial incentive to change the subject and keep the discussion about campaign finance reform to a minimum.

I don't think they are stupid, but would prefer their audience to be.

I heard John Allen on the Bill Press program today. He is the author of the Biography, "HRC. so he is quite familiar with her positions.
He said the word is that she wants Bernie gone now - she has no intention of going any further left than she has done to date and now wants Bernie out of the Dem debate.

Having said that, I still agree with Bernie, he did the right thing.

11. I agree, Autumn, I believe Hillary has reached her limit insofar as "politically" moving left goes.

But you never know, she might come out in a week or so and promote cannabis brownies for high school lunch desserts.
