Is Hillary both a Progressive AND a Centrist at the same time? Is that possible?

She has claimed to be both a Progressive and a Centrist at different times during this campaign season, to appeal to different audiences. Is she both? Is that possible?

Of course, you may say that labels are just labels, which is true to a point I suppose, but what is undeniable is that the willingness -eagerness even- to shed one's skin and adopt another guise for the purpose of political pandering is not the sign of a person with deeply held convictions. It is an augur of what we can expect from her presidency. A rudderless, compass-free series of political tacking based on the way the wind is blowing.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less." "The question is," said Alice, "whether you can make words mean so many different things." "The question is," said Humpty Dumpty, "which is to be master—that's all."

And she is the worst kind of politician ... she will go with whatever she thinks will be advantageous for her.

If advocating for gun control will get her past Sanders, then she will be a gun control advocate.
If being against gun control will help her (or Bill) in Arkansas, then she is against gun control.

If talking about gun control will hurt her in November 2016, she just won't talk about it.

If she becomes the Democrats 2016 presidential nominee (heaven help us) and happens to become the nation's leader, well, Hillary is a conservative, she is a Chamber of Commerce Democrat ... she has absolutely no problem with corporate welfare, with elites deciding everything that is best for regular folks, and she loves money and power as much as Donald Trump.

I've been told, by some on this site, that liberals and progressives are irrelevant to the Democratic Party, "don't make a thimble's worth of difference."
Why would she claim to be a progressive if progressives don't matter?
What does a progressive moderate-centerist believe in?

When he signed the Americans With Disabilities Act. Sanders is conservative on guns and progressive on other things. Proves how stupid this purity crap is. It's all about how often somebody votes with you.
