MSNBC is preventing me from getting a stroke

Watching the devious phonies speaking at the RNC is so maddening that I'm sure that it drives my blood pressure through the roof.

Thank God for Rachel and crew for coming on afterwards and injecting some truth like administering medicine. It is a necessary antidote to the lies and snake oil.

Didn't intend to watch at all, but am out of town, hotel internet not cooperating, and friend with whom I'm vacationing wanted to see 'what they were saying.'

Incredibly sickening and painful, and I just saw ann and crispie creme. What have we become?

then why bother putting yourself through another cavalcade of hate speeches- because it's all the same "blah, blah, blah......" At this point, I could write their speeches IN MY SLEEP!

the problem (for me at least) is that "the other side" is spewing so much hate and vitriol that it's impossible to listen to the other side. Is there anybody on the right that is even remotely tolerable- that is willing and able to advance their viewpoint without lying and/or hating on our side?

In totally understand that. They make my skin crawl, and I try to limit my exposure to their infectious toxins as much as possible myself.....But suffering is part of civic duty I guess, and knowing what they're saying is important.

But to answer your question, I'd say no. the GOP has managed to muzzle or drive out anyone who might even be remotely tolerable.

I listen to a little bit to get the puke drift of the day and then get ready for my day.

It does help. I find I am more productive and probably more interesting to talk to when I am not tied up in angry knots for a good portion of my early morning hours...

Any illusion that this would be civil and based on facts is now tossed on the trash heap. Guess maybe I was a little too optimistic to think they would really take that route in the first place. But these people bill themselves as "christian", upstanding citizens. So you might think they would at least pretend to hold values associated with people of faith. Oh well, my bad.

So since we kind of know the lay of the land, perhaps small doses of this crap is the antidote to their poison. Hey, here's an idea. Maybe we could draw straws to see which one of us watches at various times. Then report back to the rest of us who are taking a well earned break. That way we all get through this without blowing a gasket or getting an ulcer.

... they don't feel the need to consistently find some piece of BS to compliment the R's on ... they (Eliot Spitzer, Cenk Ugyur and Al Gore) are just callin' it like they see it. Although Current's constant side-screen feed of Tweets from all sides seems to have been over-run by Romney/Ryan nuts.
