2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThat was an excellent debate. I was particularly impressed by O'Malley.
O'Malley used Clinton like a foil, in order to engage more with Sanders.
Any one of these candidates could beat any of the Republicans.
This debate was like a different world, than that.

(27,819 posts)Admittedly, I don't know as much about him as I should.
But what impressed me was the difference in his demeanour from the first debate. He went from "and I'm here, too" to "I have something to say". He was much more forceful in getting his points across, and seemed far more engaged with the audience in terms of speaking directly to them.
He obviously learned from the first debate and, gently and with precision, altered his course as a result. That tells me he is a quick study, knows how to assess his own weaknesses and strengths, and has the intelligence to act accordingly.
