Related: About this forumWhy Hillary Clinton just became an even bigger front-runner
Otherwise, though, there is basically no reason to believe that she did anything to hurt her status as the clear front-runner for the Democratic nomination. And a survey conducted after the debate backs that up.
The CBS News Knowledge Panel poll of Democrats and independents who watched the debate shows that 51 percent viewed Clinton as the winner. Twenty-eight percent said Bernie Sanders won, and 7 percent said Martin O'Malley won. Those numbers probably not coincidentally closely mirror where the national poll numbers are right now. In other words, it seems likely that Clinton supporters thought she won and Sanders supporters thought he won. Little changed.

(29,798 posts)- polls, or
- personality, or
- party loyalty, or
- gender,
this voter expects a candidate to win a vote based on issues and position.
The six questions HRC needs to answer to win this vote - yes or no:
1) HRC, will you reduce US military spending by 10% each year of your first term?
2) HRC, will you reign in Wall Street power by reinstating Glass-Steagall?
3) HRC, will you break up too big to fail big-banks?
4) HRC, will you actively support repeal of Citizen's United?
5) HRC, will you denounce the TPP and work to repeal the legislation?
6) HRC, will you use the bully pulpit to support and lobby for single-payer health care?

(135,425 posts)You might not like all the answers, but she clearly addressed all those issues.
Pay better attention.
Oh, and learn the difference between "reign" and "rein."
So, I guess, gee you won't be voting for her.
But I've a feeling if she answered every question the way you wanted, came over to your house and cleaned it, made your supper, and walked your dog, it still wouldn't be enough.
Can't win 'em all--especially the ones who aren't at all serious! And who stomp and demand answers from "Camp Hillary" rather than opening the old ears and LISTENING to the candidate herself address all those issues on the tee vee...
Oh my....it certainly does "bern!"

That's the impression I was left with when he raced through his "So Sad Paris" to rush into his stump speech excerpt.
I found it off-putting.

She would never say "All those Muslim countries" and paint them with a broad brush. She knows their differences and uniqueness.
I was reminded when people talk about "Latin American countries" Like if it was a monolithic place, when there are so many differences in culture, music, food...
But some don't seem to get that. They only have a broad brush for everyone.

(135,425 posts)stuff set my teeth on edge. He might have been trying for a more correct pronunciation, but it came off as a bit mock-ish, to my ear.
There's a hairline difference between that kind of verbiage and the shit Jeb! spouted on MTP this morning.
Were it not for the fact that a bunch of terrorists (who were Moose-lim, per BS) shot up Paris yesterday, I think there would be more pushback over his choice of words and his phrasing.

"Because she's put on weight ?".. in answer to the OP's "Why Hillary Clinton just became an even bigger front-runner". Really.. that's their insult. An attempt at Fat Shaming? And, tells the OP it's "..not nice for him to notice it and post about it.." Shameful some have to resort to this. Please hide."
