PPRI Nat's Poll- Clinton -62% Sanders 29%

Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton retains a commanding lead over her primary opponents. More than six in ten (62%) Democratic likely primary voters support Clinton’s candidacy, while fewer than three in ten (29%) support Bernie Sanders. Only three percent of likely Democratic voters report that they would like to see Martin O’Malley become the Democratic nominee. Notably, candidate preferences do not differ appreciably between Democratic likely primary voters and Democrats overall.

Clinton has a strong well of support among self-identified Democrats. The current Democratic front-runner elicits strong positive views, with nearly eight in ten (79%) expressing a favorable opinion of her. Fewer than one in five (17%) Democrats view Clinton negatively. That said, she is viewed favorably by only 25% of white evangelical Protestants. Majorities of Hispanic (64%) and black Americans (79%) hold favorable views of Clinton.

METHODOLOGY

The survey was designed and conducted by Public Religion
Research Institute. The survey was made possible by
generous grants from the Ford Foundation and the Nathan
Cummings Foundation. Results of the survey were based
on bilingual (Spanish and English) RDD telephone interviews
conducted between November 6 and November 10, 2015,
by professional interviewers under the direction of SSRS.
Interviews were conducted among a random sample of 1,010
adults 18 years of age or older living in the United States (510
respondents were interviewed on a cell phone).
[The selection
of respondents within households was accomplished by
randomly requesting to speak with the youngest adult male
or female currently living in the household.

Almost impossible to overcome, really.

My Prediction: This primary race is over. Clinton will be the nominee. I see no path to a change in that.

but undoubtedly many are worried about nominating the person who would be most likely to beat the GOP nominee. For a lot of Americans, it's really about holding the White House.

Personally I've come to loathe him, but some of that may be colored by his supporters constant attacks on Hillary. On the other hand, my wife loathes him too and she pays no attention to the smears of Hillary on the Internet.

people he attracts, why do you guys loathe him? Not a lot of people say that. Some like his positions in various degrees of enthusiasm, some don't like his positions, and some seem to have joined a personality cult focused on Bernie himself. But loathe?

most of it -- to some degree. I admit, since I don't worry about Bernie winning it's easy to not fuss over his details, and loathe is reserved for extremely few people. Dick Cheney might qualify.

I do agree with him on global warming becoming our greatest security threat -- in that it will cause enormous instability around the planet. It IS causing that, after all. Just look at what happened in Syria. Of course, in "climate," I'm also rolling in the incredibly destructive and destabilizing effects of disappearing fresh water supplies.

BTW, I read that thing he wrote when he was about 30, including the rape statement. It was a hoot -- looking back from today. He began with a couple of "hot" things to supposedly draw the interest of other people like him (including rape fantasy), and from them moved permanently to lecturing on whatever it was actually about -- extremely unhumorously and uninterestingly. I've forgotten what, something about what men and women need from each other I think. Needless to say, at that age he was far from the expert he imagined himself to be. I could see his speech patterns today in his words then, though. He was definitely not destined to make it as a writer.

The only way it would be more robust is if it was a facebook poll.
