2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe Grand Canyon State Poll-Clinton 47% Sanders 19%
Phoenix, Arizona November 19, 2015. In a test election for the Democratic presidential primary in
Arizona, Hillary Clinton enjoys a wide lead over Bernie Sanders, 47 to 19 percent. Among Democrats who
are men, her voting power is ever greater, with nearly six of ten giving her the nod, a percent that drops to
40 percent among Arizona=s Democrat women. Bernie Sanders does not, however, benefit from this pattern
because Democrat women are simply more undecided about who they favor (37% compared to 14% among
men).
Bernie Sanders draws his best vote from among younger Democrats where he attracts 31 percent of
the vote but still trails Hillary Clinton who garners 41 percent. The Sanders vote is also modestly above
average in Pima County and among Hispanic voters. Indeed, more than half of the support for Bernie
Sanders comes from within the ranks of Latino Democrats (54%).
Candidate Martin O=Malley attracted only two percent of the Democrat vote as of the time of this
survey.
Clinton=s voting power increases with the age of voters, peaking at 52 percent among voters 55
years of age and older

OP
When you look at the data in toto it looks like the 18-30 vote is split.
