2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWay back in 1992, I campaigned hard for
Bill Clinton. I was 47 that year, and was weary to the bone of Republican Presidents. I was worried we'd have another, so I worked my narrow ass off to help him get elected. Now, in 2016, I'm going to be doing the same for Hillary Clinton. This time, though, we'll have had a fine Democratic President for two terms, and I'm determined to continue to have a Democrat in the White House.
See, the thing is that when we have Democrats there, things go lots better here. So, that's what I worked for then and what I'll work for now, at age 70. Democrats. Yes, please. I know that many others feel the same. We'll win, too, despite the naysayers. Many of them didn't like Bill, either.

(30,058 posts)Wrong. I did support him and I was rewarded by his presidency. I have followed the Clintons since 1980, he won the Arkansas governors office. They have proven they are Democrats from the top of their heads to the bottom of their feet. I have been excited with Obama's administration but looking for Hillary's administration also.
Thanks for your post.

(8,760 posts)Clinton took up the deficit reduction mantle, much to my delight......and balanced the budget.
If Obama had more time, he would have done so as well. Bush dug a much, much deeper hole than Reagan.
