I'll vote for her if she's the nominee, but I don't like the way she reflexively pivots to her distressingly right-leaning 2000s era persona, given half an excuse.

(15,036 posts)and which district votes first in the primaries would rotate among them, so every 24 years each of us would have an opportunity to vote first for President.
All states in an electoral district would have their primaries on the same day. This way, campaigns would focus on a select geographic region -- costs would be lower, as there wouldn't be as much travel required, and the media buys would be more focused as well, since neighboring states would be addressed at the same time.
There'd be an added benefit as well, as the citizens of each district could expect (indeed, demand) that each politician address the regional issues of their concern as well as the national issues, thereby denying the candidates the opportunity to hide behind national platitudes instead of answering specific questions important to a select electorate.
But it'll never happen. Too many vested interests with too much at stake in the present, crippled system. So I refuse to support it, with either my money or my time. There's enough useless poppycock in my life without my seeking out other, even more marginal issues to feed my ulcer.

R B Garr
(16,954 posts)It's pretty hilarious how you contradict yourself with your little 'bookmark" and "compilation" files.
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)And we're done here.
Moral of the story: Don't accuse another poster of lying unless you haven't been caught in a lie
The End.
R B Garr
(16,954 posts)means you lack credibility.
You posted about her changing support from BS to Hillary as if that's some reflection of integrity. What bullshit. She or anyone can evaluate a candidate and change their mind whenever they want without your approval. That's why politicians campaign -- to win votes.
Your manipulative postings about the website you obsess about are also not credible. You fail to mention that the only reason it exists is because of time outs here. At least you admit you are trying to damage people because they dare to post somewhere else on the internet without your interference or approval.
Put that in your little "bookmarks" and "compilation" files (your words).
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)No kidding, HC supporters who couldn't be civil here started their own website where they could discuss ways to stalk and harass other posters who earned the right to keep posting here.
Iow: Being manipulative
Posting links and screenshots isn't being manipulative because facts aren't manipulative.
And that's why my posts struck a nerve, I backed up my claims while you've got nothing to back up yours except some bizarre conspiracy theory that using Google and having one post by a fellow Bernie supporter bookmarked is the same thing as "keeping files" on people.
So take that back to the cave and tell them you struck out - again. My posts didn't get hidden but your antics did keep me entertained.
And tell them I said hi!
R B Garr
(16,954 posts)Of course, all of what you wrote is manipulative, which is why it's not credible. You are obviously too emotionally involved with where people post on the internet, which is just...bizarre.
More morals: Your emotions are not "facts". You are actually coming across as angry-- angry that people have options that don't involve your approval.
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)If I were you I'd step away from the bigoted stalker site, it seems to be having an adverse effect on your perception of what happens here on DU.
You seem to be confusing links and screenshots with emotions and that's a little disturbing.
Besides, it's obvious to everyone that only people who are obsessed would start a website to stalk other DUers, like the denizens of the cave.
Compared to them the rest of us seem to be remarkably well adjusted. I do feel sorry for those people, though so I guess pity counts as an emotion.
R B I've been laughing my ass off at you since you went off the rails, so don't worry about me, I only get angry with people who are worthy of that emotion.
R B Garr
(16,954 posts)on people, which you manipulatively call "bookmarks' and "compilations" when we both know they really are. WINK
Look at your lack of credibility in this thread alone: post 35, you complain about the same thing you, yourself, admit to doing in post 37. And you keep copying what I say, obviously as a defense mechanism.
So, it looks like YOU need to step away from 'the website'. You can start detaching by deleting your obsessive "bookmarks" and "compilations"... If you're so worried about people talking to each other you must be furious about the PM feature here. zOMG. People talking to each other without your approval! zOMG!
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)I'll try to keep it simple this time, hopefully that will make it easier to understand and you can calm down.
I have one post by a Bernie supporter bookmarked (no need for scare quotes, it's a harmless feature) and the bookmarked post contains a compilation of screenshots for easy access.
Again:
One bookmark to one post, that one post is a compilation of screenshots.
No files, no bizarre conspiracy, no tinfoil required to block the mind control rays.
You seem to be getting more and more confused and paranoid and I really don't know how much more I can do to alleviate your fears.
Maybe you should take a break, I was laughing because I thought you were being funny but now I'm starting to worry.
R B Garr
(16,954 posts)You keep posting your nonstop manipulative musings as if they are facts, but they're not. All you write about is "the website". Talk about paranoid -- people can be on the internet without your approval or meddling.

(20,582 posts)My dog got scared when I wasn't home during a thunder-storm and got caught up in the cords from my land-line that sat on my table. He ate his way out, including half the phone - so I'm borrowing one (well I'm not even sure it's a smart phone, it's a cellular with a bunch of crap on it, maybe it's just a normal one) - I hate it! We have phones at work, but they're basic and just right for this technologically challenged dumbo.
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)Luckily DirectTV didn't charge for a new one.
We finally broke down and got smart phones since all we get for service out here is dial up. They're great once you figure them out, more like mini-laptops than phones.

(20,582 posts)Horses!
Mine (I don't have them anymore) wrecked the mirrors, bumper and every piece of trim sticking out of my ex-bil's brand new truck.
I bet they would be a lot better than dial-up, I can't even imagine trying to deal with that again. I just basically use this one to call. My friends always tease me because they show me everything theirs can do and I'm like whoa! .... they tell me most schoolchildren have them.

I use my phone everywhere now, although it can make DU even more addictive. I was even posting here from the doctor's office.
polly7
(20,582 posts)though. I'm really going to have to get my own phone someday soon, my friend touches a button on hers and voila .... we have light, she takes movies .... so much neat stuff. I'm always losing this one I've borrowed - maybe there's some kind of app that can yell, hey ... I'm here. I'll have to look into it soon. Or maybe wait until after Christmas. They bought me a digital TV when they got tired of watching what I thought was a very nice 27" older tv, they might think I need to get with the times with a new phone too.
beam me up scottie
(57,349 posts)And yes, there's an app to help find your phone if you lose it, it was one of the first ones I downloaded.

So, THANKS, again for confirming that she is keeping tabs on other posters since she is acting confused again.

But I don't get how posting screenshots from another website = keeping tabs on DUers.
Those screenshots show bigotry, trolling and alert stalking at a completely different website. Citing them isn't the same thing as keeping tabs on people here.
What a strange leap of logic.
Some people see conspiracies everywhere.
polly7
(20,582 posts)ok, I get it now. Sounds like some sort of federal crime here, yet I see it done 50 times a day? Oh well, some do like to bait - but probably never take the time to do it in real life. That's sort of sad when you think about it. I love fishing - I move my rod real quick though if I see one come near because I don't really want to catch and hurt one but there's nothing better than just relaxing in the fresh air with the sounds of nature and a good book.
