Right doubles down on Eastwood buffoonery, attempts to organize Empty Chair Day

Apparently Drudge and the Freepers were heavily pushing this - pity they scheduled it for Labor Day and no one noticed or gave a rat's ass:

The right rallied on Labor Day to celebrate “National Empty Chair Day,” a show of solidarity with Clint Eastwood after his rambling address to an invisible President Barack Obama at the Republican National Convention last week.

The action picked up steam on Twitter, where the hashtag #emptychairday began trending on Monday morning as users tweeted pictures of empty chairs in various poses.

Notable conservatives like Michelle Malkin and writers at Breitbart.com, as well blogger Prof. Glenn Reynolds, kicked off the trend, according to the conservative blog Legal Insurrection.

Yes, keeping talking about Eastwood, Freepers.
Nothing will change the fact that your convention was a flop and that no one remembers Willard's speech.

I am not even one bit upset about Clint Eastwood, in fact I am gleeful about his speech it was total comic gold and very damaging to the Romney campaign. An Empty Chair Day would bring even mdre laughs and make the Republicans even llok more foolish, I hope this idea grows really big. Come on freepers hold your empty chair rallies!

Between empty chair day and #eastwooding, the laughs keep coming.

These people are not too bright.

When was Mitt's speech? What was it about? Is it the one where he begged people to vote for an American? Only Mitt could be over shadowed by a chair. An empty suit for an empty chair.

Liberals, Dems and people that enjoy comedy started #invisibleObama, #eastwooding, and #insertchair first. Republicans are so late to the party because they have no idea what culture is. They have no idea how to be funny and brilliant, like Colbert was when he spoke to the empty chair already. Posting pics of empty chairs was so 3 days ago.

I would venture a guess that if you put empty chairs in the Senate and House in place of all the republicans the same amount of work would have gotten done in Congress in the last two years
look at all the money this country could have saved
